The film is said to be a realistic story.

It was so real that there was a hilarious commotion during the shoot in Madurai recently.

Vasantha Balan was shooting a scene which involved Bharath slapping Bhavana. The scene was shot on the bed of Vaigai River.

For realism sake, the director shot the scene from a concealed place. So when Bharath was slapping Bhavana, a few old women gathered around and began to give a dressing down to him. He was rebuked firmly by the women.

And finally, the crew had to rush in and explain the situation to the women.

There was laughter all around after that.
